Passionate about skiing for 60+ years, Paul, a competitive skier, believes the sport offers a healthy and safe activity. He has skied at many resorts across the country and has a wealth of knowledge that is unmatched in our area. With years of experience Paul knows the intricacies of the sport, the equipment, the terrain, and safety. He stays current as a ski industry professional. Each year, Paul travels to a premier conference in Colorado for the purpose of finding the best equipment for the lowest prices, passing the savings and value on to his customers. He also attempts to meet each vendor to discuss new gear and trends.
About the Shop
This unique shop offers professional certified technicians and is a destination for the skiing and snowboarding community in the heart of the Ohio Valley. New this season you can enjoy wine around an outdoor fireplace, or enjoy a beer while you shop or discuss the slopes with Paul. Alpine Skis and Boards is located near several ski resorts including Oglebay, Seven Springs / Hidden Valley Mountain Resort, Canaan Valley Resort, Timberline Resort, Wisp Resort, Blue Knob, and Snowshoe Mountain Resort.

Ski Tuning
Have your skis professionally tuned by our certified ski and binding technicians. Properly tuned skis will give you the most control resulting in a more enjoyable experience. It’s also safer. Skis that are not properly tuned can yield unexpected results which can be dangerous for you and those around you.
- Tune and Wax – $40
- Wax Only – $25
- Tune Only – $25
We can repair numerous ski and snowboard problems including base gouges, broken bindings, and other normal wear and tear.
Same day service is a $10 up-fee.
Premium Rental Skis
Ski rental rates include premium skis, boots, and poles! We have skis to fit all ages and all skiing styles.
If you decide to purchase your rental skis within 7 days, we will refund your rental cost! See store for details!
